Review | Review the previous voting results and discuss the techniques of reviewing.

Hello everyone, this is Bo2SS~

Today's content is divided into two parts: 1) Analysis of the Voting Results, 2) My Review Practice.

Analysis of the Voting Results#

In the previous post, Bo2SS invited readers to vote and provide suggestions.

In the end, 26 people voted, which is not a large number, but it is still representative. In addition, 25 comments were received, with fewer suggestions, mostly compliments and expectations👀.

Before the analysis, congratulations to the comment from "Life's Flavors" for receiving the highest number of likes and winning a Shopee New Year's Gift Pack worth 180 yuan🎁. Thank you for sharing!

Next, let's review the 5 questions that Bo2SS cared about in the vote.

  1. When do you usually read the official account?

Image

🕘 Regarding the time when everyone reads the official account, most people chose "not fixed," thinking that the evening would prevail.

  1. Which section of Bo2SS's content do you prefer?

Image

🌮 Regarding the preferred section of Bo2SS, surprisingly, it is the "Life" section, which is a section that has not yet published any articles❗️ (People are always full of expectations for unknown things)

  1. How did you discover Bo2SS?

Image

📢 Regarding how everyone discovered Bo2SS, friends from the "circle of friends" were the most active, and there were 5 votes for "Other," what kind of way is that? Bo2SS didn't expect it~ Also, it's a pity that fans who migrated from the comment section did not participate in the vote.

  1. Which field do you come from?

💻 Regarding the distribution of readers' fields, it is perfectly symmetrical, indicating that the readers' team has a comprehensive development without bias.

  1. Which sharing method do you prefer?

📸 Finally, regarding the sharing method, Bo2SS will primarily use text with supplementary videos. After all, text can penetrate deeper into people's hearts, while videos tend to be more interactive.

My Review Practice#

The analysis of the voting results is actually a simple review.

I don't know if you have the habit of not forgetting something important immediately after it happens, but instead repeatedly thinking back and asking yourself if you could have done better?

In the past, I used to regret not doing it at that time, but now I write down these points for improvement and tell myself to do better next time. As the saying goes, "Perfection is continuous improvement," and this improvement process relies heavily on review.

Regarding the role of review, I have the deepest experience in job interviews. After each interview, I would review it, and later on, I could predict what the interviewer would ask in almost every interview. So now, I still maintain the habit of reviewing in my work tasks, looking forward to the surprises it brings~

So how do we review? Here, I will briefly describe 4 steps:

1. Establish a Review Template#

Different types of things are suitable for different review templates. For example, for some requirements in my work, I currently use this template:

  • Relevant materials: (reference documents, materials)
  • Preparation
    • Requirements:
    • Positioning: (involving which libraries, which code)
  • Ideas
    • "Reference" (any similar practices)
    • "Key" (key steps)
    • "Testing" (verify if the results meet expectations)
  • ⚠️: (notes)
  • Blind spots: (what blind spots hindered this practice)
  • Points for improvement: (areas that can be done better, such as speed, quality)

Based on the characteristics of the task and your own needs, you can also continuously improve the template each time you review until you establish a review template that suits your own tasks.

2. Record Key Points in the Process#

Throughout the process, record the important details that you consider, such as the links to referenced blogs, the stages you participated in, and any notes.

3. Review According to the Template#

After completing the task, take some time to calm down and review according to the corresponding template!

4. Categorize and Summarize#

After completing the review, if you can categorize and summarize the findings of the review and add them to your knowledge base, it will be even better for future positioning and review, won't it?

Speaking of my own knowledge base, I recently built one, drawing on a great article shared by a friend about building a note-taking system (I summarized it with a mind map - Zhihu). The hierarchy of the knowledge base looks like this:

I look forward to this knowledge tree growing lush!

Returning to the topic of review, it can be summarized in 4 steps:

1) Establish a review template
2) Record key points in the process
3) Review according to the template
4) Categorize and summarize

If we talk about the difficulty of review, it may require a little patience~ Your motivation can come from the expectation of long-term benefits from persisting, or from practicing the phrase "Perfection is continuous improvement."

Alright, that's all for today's content. Do you have the habit of reviewing? If so, what review techniques would you like to add? Let's discuss in the comments!
